One of our newest team members, Steve Blackburn is joining our team as a Housing Learning and Development Specialist after trading in his senior leadership position in social housing. We caught up with Steve to talk about his new role.

We are pleased to announce that The Learning Foundry has been awarded funding to deliver a series of Retrofit and Domestic Energy Assessor Skills Bootcamps in the Liverpool City Region. 

There is so much pressure on young people to make decisions about their future, and we meet a lot of learners who have been pushed into traditional routes because they just weren’t sure about their next steps.

Results season can be a stressful time for learners and their support circle. As GCSE and A-level results days approach, we’re here with a reminder that everyone’s results day experience is different and we’re here to support school leavers to find their next step – whatever it looks like!

At The Learning Foundry we’re all about partnership working with referral partners, local services and our employer network to support people looking for their next steps. And it works!  

Ross’ story is a brilliant example – he's smashing his Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship at The Shankly Hotel – but he didn’t always know what his career path would be. He came to us after being referred from the LFC Foundation, where he was getting career support. After meeting our team, we placed him straight on an apprenticeship with one of our brilliant employers - The Shankly Hotel.
